SHIPSTON-ON-STOUR CRICKET CLUB EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING 2014

Following the change of our constitution and our end of year, which was proposed by members last year, we need to present the yearly accounts at an EGM which was held on May 1st. Minutes below.

Minutes of Shipston CC EGM held at the Sports Club, Thursday 1st May 2014 8.00pm.

Present:

Neil Harper, Kenny Hirst, Mark Ireland, Roger Wickson, Paul Cross, Joe Godson, Matt Corby, Nick Hibberd, Jack Murphy

Apologies:

Acting Chairman’s address:

NH stated that this EGM had been arranged following members voting in a change of AGM date, returning it to November. This now means an EGM being held at the end of the financial year, at which the members could adopt the audited accounts.
NH stated that no other business normally raised at a General Meeting would be discussed this evening as the yearly AGM had already taken place.

Treasurer’s report:

KH presented the yearly accounts which had recently been audited by Helen Patrick.
Points to note included:

A surplus of income over expenditure of approx £500 for the year, mostly due to a year of great fundraising with Three Peaks and banner sponsorship foremost.

A saving of approx £1500 per season now we have access to gang mowers and do not pay for outfield cuts.

Further savings now the MCCC loan has been paid off.
However we are still in need of more fundraising ideas through 2014.

Following a proposal by RW, seconded by MC , the accounts were unanimously adopted by the members present.
