Privacy policy

Stokesley Hockey Club want to make sure all the personal information we have collected about you is safe and secure.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We collect only relevant, personal information to allow us to contact you about club games, training and social events.

WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH?
We share information with the North East Hockey League (or North Hockey Association, depending upon which league your team plays in) according to their requirements - this is normally your name and a contact phone number.

HOW LONG DO WE HOLD ON TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
For as long as you remain a member of the club. We will retain your information for a time when you may not be a full member but may potentially play for us (for example, when you go away to University).

WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS?
You can see the data held on you in your Pitchero profile. You may delete your Pitchero login and the data will be lost. We will also seek to remove any other data we hold about you, for example, details held by team captains.

Data policy
Stokesley Hockey Club want to collect the minimum amount of data about you that we need to allow you to play hockey. In particular, we will collect the following personal data from you:
  • your name
  • a contact phone number
  • one or parents' names and contact phone numbers if you are not an adult
  • medical information if you wish to share this with us for your own safekeeping

Your data will be held in one of three places by your regular team captain (or captains, if you play for more than one team). The method chosen is determined by the captain according to their preferences on how to manage their team:
  1. On the Pitchero website, which is where we will store any medical information you give to us. Additionally, Pitchero offers a way of managing teams through its own availability and team selection system. Pitchero is an approved supplier to England Hockey and information on its data and privacy polices are be found by clicking here.
  2. Using a private Facebook group, in which case only data you provide to that private Facebook group will be seen by us. For more information on Facebook privacy matters, click here.
  3. On your captain's phone. Some captains prefer to organise their teams using mobile phones, in which case, they will record your name and phone number on that phone for ease of use. Team captains are responsible for managing this data, and you should seek further information from them if you have any concerns.

Your name and a contact phone number must be provided to the North East Hockey League (or North Hockey Association, depending upon which league your team plays in). Other than that, we will not share your personal information with anyone else without your explicit approval.
