The 1st XV plays on Saturdays in the Nottinghamshire Security Plus Pennant competition against local mens sides around the East Midlands. Traditionally, we have performed well in the league, and it provides the opportunity to develop playing each weekend

The Pinnacle of 1st XV rugby at the club is the National Association of Medical Schools (NAMS) Cup. This annual championship competition comprises of 17 medical schools nationwide, and is fiercely competitive. Despite playing in the hotly-contested Midlands Group, NMRUFC have historically performed well in the competition, frequently reaching the knockout end of the competition and being finalists in 2018 (see photo above).
