Ted is known for creating the junior section of Hall Green United. With the help of his daughter, Ted setup the Junior section of the club.
Ted became Chairman of the Juniors with his daughter, Sue Moore, becoming Secretary. Ted's son, Paul Cuthbertson took on the manager's role of one of the Junior sides and through this team, Ted's grandson John Moore has gone on to be the club captain, all time leading goalscorer and make the most number of appearances for the club.

Ted was an all round good guy and visionary, spending over 10 years as Junior Chairman before passing the reigns onto Kevin Barker. What we have here today at the club is exactly what Ted envisioned in those early years. The efforts of everyone involved to make the Juniors what they are today would have pleased him.
Following a battle with cancer, Ted passed on July 2nd 1997 at the age of 76.
