Wayne grew up at the club following in brothers Derek and Bobs footsteps. Wayne went on to feature for Bristol Rugby playing a number of times alongside Bristol legend Pete Polledri and many more. Wayne went on to play through the 90's for Clifton RFC before returning to Avonmouth as a player coach and then head coach.
Wayne was part of our clubs quick rise through the league system during the late 2000's and saw him as coach clinch a Bristol Combination Plate Final, x2 Bristol Combination Cup Runners Up & x2 Bristol Combination Cup Winners medals.
