Please be aware of the crack down on kit. We are a team and would like everyone wearing the correct shorts and socks for the game. It may seem petty, but as a team we should look alike as first impressions are key. I understand that the kit at the moment is not the best in regards to shorts and socks and some may have hygiene worries, so the advice is that we all get down to sports direct and get our own pairs.

Remember: NAVY BLUE socks and WHITE shorts for home kit and WHITE socks and NAVY BLUE shorts for away kit.

If you are happy with wearing the current stock of kit then great. If not, then I believe Sports Direct is the cheapest place for basic gear and I bought a pair of yellow (GK) Nike socks for £4 and white Nike shorts for £6. Cheaper stuff is also available.

I understand that we don’t all want to be spending our cash on footy gear but if it is at all possible that we provide a small amount to keep ourselves looking prim and proper we will benefit from the small things in the long run.

Please don’t feel put out, after all, we want everyone to be enjoying their football and team spirit and morale is obviously most important. I’m sure you’ll agree that the kit needs replacing but until club funds are available, we hope this can be a short term solution.
