Unfortunately both Brett Roberts and James Kemp had injuries in the first half, which left West Derby with 11 players including Brett Roberts playing centre forward against a very strong Brooklands side.
West Derby continued to show some positive play at times (even a one two between man of the match Mark Watts and Dave Baxter), but due to loose passes and losing the ball Brooklands over ran West Derby in midfield and converted their chances.
The final result didn't show a true reflection on the game as West Derby had a lot of chances, but were unable to convert any.
Going into next week we will take the positives from the Brooklands game and look to continue with the attitude we have had from our pre season. Every team loses a game time to time, but its how we bounce back the following week that counts.
