Biggest game for Wallsend under 14's today vs Newcastle Benfield who we have lost 4 players to over the past 2 seasons so important for the kids to play well!! And they did!!

Taking the lead with a sublime strike from Kieran giving us a 1-0 lead!!! Benfield looked a little stunned as to how well we were playing considering they are in division 3 and we are in 6.... At times we stopped their attacks before they could happen but the grabbed an equaliser but just before half time Alex got up at the back post for a bullet header to take a 2-1 lead at half time!!!

Brian the referee was great giving the teams a drinks break during both half's due to the hot sunny day!!

Second half began and benfield got straight back into it levelling up after poor defending by Wallsend to make it 2-2 but Wallsend took the game to benfield again and Kieran grabbed a second noticing that they had changed their keeper for a smaller player and put in another amazing goal!!!

With the game close and 20 mins to go Ben created his best chance to make it 4-2 but the keeper saved it from close range!!! From then on the game was played mostly in our half with the players getting tired from the heat benfield began to run our defence ragged and final result was 3-7 Wallsend played exceptional and Alfie at centre back was a monster winning everything he could gaining him player of the week and Kieran picked up man of the match!!

Next week away to tynemouth town blues in the league so hope to get back to winning ways!
