Know Your Teammate 1 of 7

1. Ian Brown

He's a club legend and probably, with the exception of Baz, our longest severing current player. We all know he's gonna win the fielding award at the end of the season in the Know Your Teammate hot seat this week is Mr Ian Brown.

•Name: Ian Michael Brown.

•Date of Birth: 25th February 1984.

•Joined VPCC in: Played my first senior game at the ripe old age of 13 in 1997, started playing regularly in 1999.

•Nickname(s): Brownman, Brownie, B-Dogg.

•Previous Clubs: Bideford & Westward Ho! CC.

•Batting Style: Left handed try to be aggressive.

•Best Batting: 106 home v Adlestrop CC.

•Bowling Style: Slow up and down with the odd tweaker thrown in for good measures.

•Best Bowling: 9-3-12-6 (home v Filleigh)

•Worst Cricketing Moment(s)/Funny Stories: Having my eye socket broken whilst playing a sweep shot out Lynton. Big Tommy mentioned it in his Know Your Teammate, but that car journey to A&E was pretty horrendous especially the headbutt to the dashboard caused by Tom's excessive braking. Having too much alcohol coupled with an all you can eat Chinese on cricket tour resulted in me chucking my guts up including the fried seaweed out my nose.

•Personally Cricketing Highlight: The same game as the broken eye socket out Lynton when we chased down over 300 with 10 men and just being able to play with a great bunch of lads week in week out (bit of a gay response I know, I love you all)
