Club History & Information

Established in 1975, Victoria Park Cricket Club are a North Devon cricket club based in Bideford and affiliated to the North Devon Cricket League. The club currently run with one side, the NDL Sunday XI (1st Team).

The club has had several guises over the years, and once boasted a Devon League side and two NDL teams. Up until 2014 the club still ran with these two NDL sides but due to falling participation levels the 2nd Team were dropped and reinvented as the T20 side. During the 2016 season the T20 side (Victoria Park Agents) were officially disbanded by then team captain Tristan Bannister. Having struggled with player commitment and availability throughout the early part of the season, the side withdrew from the league. More information on the two teams can be found under the Teams section of the website.

Despite always being in the shadows of local rivals and powerhouses, North Devon CC and Bideford CC the club has enjoyed their own success including club veteran Colin Bettiss guiding his side to promotion into the NDL division 1, where they enjoyed a two season stint before relegation in 2010.

The club play their home matches on the King George V Playing Field which is situated in Victoria Park, Bideford and use Bideford Amateur Athletics Club (The Blues) as their clubhouse, after match refreshments, venues for social events and club AGM’s.
