The U14s headed to OMT's for their final league game having to win without losing more than 4 wickets to become League Champions. Another glorious evening of blue skies and heat saw them field first to try and restrict an OMT side who should never be underestimated. UCC equiped with a talented bowling and fielding unit went about their business in a professional and ruthless manner to restrict OMT to only 83 for 6 off 20 overs. Superb fielding and brilliant bowling spells from Hasan Hashmi, Ibrihim Ahmed, Reuben Dhugga bowling in good areas allowing Captains Curran and Reiss to set great fields. Now all we had to do was to knock it about without losing wickets to become Champions. Curran Bains & Reiss Walker set about the bowling with good discipline and a plan, Curran (26) chipped one that stopped on him to mid wicket which brought in Kahil Jariwala to join for the first time this season his long standing opening buddy to finish the game off, Reiss (24*) and Kahil (12*) in the 11th Over. Well Done to the boys Division 1 League Champions 2018. Fianls Day here we come again, August 5th 2018 for those that want to come and support the boys.
