Tower Hamlets FC are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a friendly against Lyon FC's Under 21's this week, when the Ligue 1 club visit London.

The French side are one of the most prestigious clubs in Europe having won a record-breaking winning streak of seven French Ligue 1 titles between 2002 and 2008. Tower Hamlets FC are very proud to be hosting this famous club, who have also participated in numerous seasons in the UEFA Champions League, reaching the semi-finals in 2009.

Unfortunately, we are unable to host the game at our home ground, Mile End Stadium, owing to the venue not being available. This is a shame because it would have been an honour to welcome a such a club of Lyon's stature to Mile End, but instead the game is being played at the Meridian Sports Centre in Greenwich.

There will be several guests attending the game including:-

TONY FINNIGAN - Tony is a football agent who was worked with Premier League players such as Chelsea's Victor Moses and former Wigan striker Marlon King. Tony has also worked in partnership with Arsenal legend Ian Wright and former Sky Sports pundit Andy Gray, whilst being Stan Collymore's partner in a television production company. Former player and now runs Players Lounge Football agency www.playersloungeltd.com..

NEIL HARRIS - Neil is currently the First Team manager of League One Millwall and is the South London club's all-time record goalscorer, with 138 goals in all competitions.

ROBERT CODNER - Former footballer who started his career at Tottenham, and made over 300 appearances in the Football League. Robert now works as consultant at Futureprosports.

OSBOURNE POWELL - Head of Recruitment and Lead Scout for Charlton Athletic.

Also attending the game is former Defender DANIEL SHITTU, who has played for Millwall and QPR, in addition to playing in the Premier League for Watford during the 2006-07 season.

Scouts and guests from Charlton, Millwall, Fulham and Premier League clubs Bournemouth & Crystal Palace will also be in attendance.
