Biography
Nicknames: Head, PH, Hooter, Ears, Lugs
Phil has had a consistent couple of seasons for the 2nd XI, establishing himself as a regular at the top of the order following a year out after knee surgery.
He is an obdurate right hand batsman who likes to build an innings but is capable of upping the tempo once set. Crucially in a team of stroke-makers, he values his wicket, is prepared to knuckle down when the ball is dominating and enjoys the competition.
Head is a fine fielder and although his knee may limit him to running in straight lines he is still capable of pulling off some outstanding catches. 443 runs in all competitions in 2015 at an average of 27.69 with a highest score of 91*. Balding.
