Thanks to Watton for the loan of players.

Thetford travelled to UEA not knowing what to expect from an inconsistent UEA side.

Unfortunately for Thetford their usual late call offs and no shows again influencing team selection. True to the spirit of rugby Watton whom had had thier own game cancelled stepped up and offered to lend Thetford a hand which TRUFC were very grateful to acceept.

The game itself was again an even affair in the first half with Thetfords pack dominant in set scrum and driving play. Anyone who has played UEA knows full well that this young team will punish any lapse in concentration with their sheer speed of play. With the score at 19 v12 at halftime Thetford felt they had a chance of an away victory.

The fact UEA had a squad of 23 made it possible for them to switch out tired players and bring on fresh young legs.Thetford dispite showing improvement in handling and general play could not match the pace of UEA who ran out 42 v12 winners.

Once again TRUFC would like to thank Watton RUFC for their help in this fixture and we look forward to hosting you on Saturday 18th February.

Thetford's Man of the Match was Aiden Hunt, playing his first game in 8 months.
