Womens Football
We are still aspiring to setting up a Womens team within Thatcham Tornadoes. The minimum age to join this team is 16. Matches are on Sunday afternoons.

Girls Football for 2023/24 season
If your daughter is inspired by England's Lionesses and wants to start playing football, several of our teams are looking for new players to join them ahead of the new season.

Whether you've played a little already or just want to give football a go to see if you enjoy it, you are welcome to join us for a couple of taster training sessions before deciding to join.

You will be given a warm welcome as you join the 150+ girls already playing football with Thatcham Tornadoes.

Training for our U6 Girls - U12 Girls teams is on Fridays (on astro under floodlights in winter) and the Girls play weekly matches on Saturdays with home matches at Douai Park.

Mixed/Sunday Football Teams
Our mixed football teams play in either the Reading & West Berkshire League (RWBL) or Peter Houseman Youth League (PHYL) on Sundays and we have several teams looking for additional players.

U15 Lions for 2023/24
Thatcham Tornadoes U15 Lions are looking for a couple more players to join them ready for the new season. The team will be playing in the Peter Houseman Youth League for the new season and with matches on Sundays and training on Thursdays - on the astro under floodlights during over the winter. Players will be starting in Year 10 from Sept 2023.

Thatcham Tornadoes U13 Lions are looking for a couple more players to join them ready for the new season. The team plays matches on Sundays at Henwick with training on Wednesday evenings - on the astro under floodlights during over the winter. Players will be starting in Year 8 from Sept 2023.

Walking Football
If you are 50-ish or older and not quite ready to hang up your boots, why not give walking football a go. We've a very social bunch of footballers that meet on the astro at Henwick on Friday evenings from 7-8pm. It's £3 a session.
