After travelling to East Grinstead, Southwick Ladies 1s were in an attacking mood -
and so were East Grinstead! Beth in goal saved a certain goal full stretch, an early wake up call for Southwick. Both teams found the pitch very bouncy and difficult to control the ball.

Southwick scored a good goal through Fiona who had an excellent game. Southwick 1-0 at half time.

Second half - after an attack from the E.G, Southwick won a penalty corner and a shot came in from Fiona who scored her second goal off an E.G foot - 2 up, lovely bubbly! After that E.G started to get tired with Southwick pressure. Kirsty picked the ball up and with a splendid run into the circle, Jean walloped into the goal, it was brilliant. Kirsty (who ran her legs off) created opportunities with crosses, but the ball just kept going over sticks - you really needed a stick shaped like a banana.

2 more goals resulted in good team play, with Jean on the end of both of them. Beth produced another fine save towards the end - what a good girl - but watching you play today, particularly in the second half, you never ran out steam.

Overall a good atmosphere and funny moments. Special mention for Clare and Ria leading this wonderful team, and Donna who has her good girl moments ?. This was a great team effort and all contributed to this fine win. You all had a splendid game and good girl moments and you all certainly deserve a banana!
