A round up of all the results from the Wigan Amatuer League played this weekend

Two teams at the wrong end of the Garswood Trophies Premier Division Gidlow Athletic and St Judes clashed at Laithwaite Park and in an even contest it ended at 3-3 with honours even. The game was only a few minutes old when Gidlow were awarded a penalty which Will Makinson fired home to give them the lead. However it was short lived with Craig Scriven knocking in an equaliser. As half time approached Makinson was on the score sheet again as he scored direct from a corner kick. On the stroke of half time Gidlow were awarded a second spot kick which Makinson squandered by shooting wide. Just after the break Scriven made it 2-2 but back came Gidlow through Mat Lynch with a superb b goal. As time ran out it was the Saints turn to get a penalty which John Cushion comfortably converted. Cushion had a great game for St Judes while Larry McPherson was Gidlow's top performer
