Luke is a member of our club, while playing in a beach tournament in the summer of 2023, he suffered from a catastrophic neck injury. He remains in Salisbury Spinal unit undergoing intensive physiotherapy but will spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Luke is 27 years old. The family are in the midst of a significant project to convert the family home to give Luke a living space and to bring him home. To raise funds a charity match day is being held at SSRFC, involving other Isle of Wight clubs on Saturday 24th February 2024. Part of this will be a raffle and auction.
