Annual Subscriptions, Dues & Fundraising

Fees 2013/14

At the clubs recent committee meeting the committee decided on and set the membership/registration fees and club subscriptions for the 2013/2014 season. These have been assessed based on club running costs and set to ensure that the club can continue to provide all of its players with the best coaching, equipment and training venues.

The committee continues to work hard to provide the best facilities available together with adequate training equipment, to ensure all coaches are suitably qualified and also to ensure our teams, on match day, and at training sessions, are suitably fitted out in Ridgeway attire. The prevailing factor, however, is to ensure value for money. With 7 league teams (97's - 02's) and 6 development squads (03's - 08's) some costs, particularly training venues continue to rise, year on year. Based on our assessment of expenditure over the past season the committee has taken the difficult step of increasing dues.

This increase is in the main due to the end of the very good terms we have enjoyed in relation to bank charges. These will increase significantly before the end of this year therefore burdening us with large costs.

Ridgeway Rovers take great pride in being able to offer all our squads the best facilities available but to continue to do so we regrettably feel we must increase our fundraising activities across the club.

Annual Club Membership/Registration fee :

97 – 02 £40 due by Saturday 14th September 2013
03 – 06 £30 due by Saturday 14th September 2013
07 £10 due by Saturday 14th September 2013
08 No fee

Dues per term:

Four Terms;

1st Aug 2013 – 31st Oct 2013
1st Nov 2013 – 31st Dec 2013
1st Jan 2014 – 31st March 2014
1st April 2014 – 31st May 2014

Cost per term;

Squads - 97-04’s - £62.50
Squads - 05’s-06’s - £50
Squads - 07/08’s - PAYP-£3/wk

Season Totals:

Squads - 97-04’s - £250
Squads - 05’s-06’s - £200

In order to spread the costs and to ensure that the club has a regular cash flow we will be offering you the opportunity to pay by Standing Order this season, on a monthly basis, over the 10 active months of the season. This will also reduce the burden within each squad for handling and accounting for large sums of money. Based on the costs above the monthly fee would be:

Squads 97 – 04 - Monthly Cost £25
Squads 05 – 06 - Monthly Cost £20

Standing Order is now our preferred method of payment for dues in the 2013/14 season. A one-off payment of the full amount can also be accepted if you wish to pay in this manner.

Notes:

1. New players joining mid-month will pay dues from the start of the following month, along with the annual membership/registration fee – pro rata (£4/calendar month).

2. In the case of player absence through injury, a refund of fees will only be considered if more than two weeks training are missed and will be granted at the discretion of the player’s team manager. Refunds are at the rate of £3/week.

3. Only 2007/2008 boys will be allowed to Pay as You Play (PAYP) at £3/week, as we encourage them to settle into life at Ridgeway Rovers.

Standing Order

Please see the attached Standing Order form which YOU need to present to your bank. If you have internet banking obviously you can set it up there yourself. The club statements will be checked each month to ensure payments are collected. Thanks for your assistance with this important step for the club. What you need to complete;

• Your Sort Code and 8 digit account number
• Receiver Reference (Player’s Name) PLEASE PREFIX WITH SQUAD YEAR i.e.

Fundraising Initiative

Last season we agreed that each team/squad would contribute £750 towards club running costs through fundraising initiatives. The slight increase in charges this season will alleviate the requirement for this, therefore any fundraising carried out within each squad will be for the good and benefit of the squad.

Training Kit

Please see the attached order form for Ridgeway Rovers – Umbro training kit. If you wish to order any of the items return the completed form IN FULL to your squad manager with the full outstanding payment. Orders will be placed in the 1st week of each month only and may take 4-6 weeks to complete.

Summary

Ridgeway Rovers depends on the support of you, the parents, and if everyone does their bit, the ultimate winners in our efforts will be the players. Moving forward we would be keen to form a 'club' fundraising committee that would oversee fundraising, at club level. To survive in these hard economic times increased fundraising is essential if we are to continue to lead the way in junior football. Any income generated through club fundraising will be reinvested back into the club and allow the committee to keep costs to you at the lowest level possible.
