Reflecting on my first game in charge, at home to Ashford, it gave me a good chance to cast an eye on the team and some of the players for the very first time.

The conditions were unbelievably difficult for both sides and we certainly played into Ashford’s hands. I think they will be there or thereabouts in the top 5 and so it gave me a better understanding of where we need strengthening going forward in trying to bridge that gap.

Keep getting behind the lads, and with a crowd of over 200 so near to Xmas in those conditions gave us an indication of where we could be as a club with a little more success.
