Pulborough Under 12's finish third in West Sussex and qualify for the Sussex A league next season.

Many congratulations to everyone who went to Chichester on Sunday for the West Sussex Festival. The whole squad played some fantastic rugby and I am very proud of your efforts and achievements along with the other coaches and the chairman Mike Fisher.

We had a tough pool but we beat Horsham 1-0 in the first match with captain Harry Venn darting over for a try in the second half. Next up were Bognor who we only managed to score 1 try against in the first half, but ran in 3 more in the second to win 4-0 with a hat trick from Charlie Treasure and one from Edward Miller. Next up were the hosts Chichester but Pulborough were now starting to find their rhythm with hooker Jack Wheaton taking several strikes against the head and ran out 2-0 winners with tries from Edward Miller and Charlie Treasure. The final pool match was the pool decider against the other unbeaten team Haywards Heath. Pulborough started a bit tentatively and allowed Heath to score out wide early in the match. Pulborough then came back into the match really well and played nearly all the rugby in the opponents half in the second period but could not get over the line losing 0-1. This put us in the 3rd /4th playoff with Haywards Heath beating Worthing 1-0 in the final. We drew the playoff 0-0 against Hove to finish joint third in the festival. This is a fantastic achievement and put us in the Sussex A league next year along with the top 4 teams from the East Sussex Festival.
