History

Prenton RUFC was formed in 1992 from the combination of two very popular and successful rugby clubs, each with a substantial history of rugby playing on the Wirral.

Initially as two old boys sides emanating from local grammar schools, The Old Instonians and The Old Rockferrians, eventually becoming independent open clubs during the 1960's.

Prenton has successfully merged the two identities into the vibrant club we know today.

The club has excellent changing and training facilities and has a brilliant club house to complement these. It currently has plans to acquire more land to increase the number of playing fields.

Our objective is to expand our playing strength and, during the course of this year, field additional teams every weekend.
