The manager and his assistant will be staying at Bar next term!

We are delighted to announce that manager Max Mitchell and assistant Liam Hope have agreed to extend their stay at Bar until the end of next season!

Mitchell, who arrived from Welwyn Garden City last season, has had a sensational time in charge of the club so far, and has guided us through a very successful first full season in charge of the club.

Hope has also been a huge part in rise up the table, and we are delighted to have secured the services of the pair heading into next season.

STATEMENT FROM THE GAFFER:
After extending his stay at the Club until the end of next season, Max Mitchell said: “I am delighted to be extending my stay into next season, it’s very clear that the board have a plan for the club and we are committed to realising their ambition and playing a small part in that journey.

“We are fully aligned on what’s expected. We feel this season we have had to battle through some adversity together and speaking from experience, this tends to lead to positive outcomes.

“I’ve been putting myself in challenging environments for the past few years now and this project gives me a sense of purpose and pride.

“We have enjoyed some great moments this season and the goal moving forwards will be to deliver good football, ensure we have a team we all love to watch and ultimately bring success to our club and supporters.

“This year was about setting the foundations, implementing our style of play and recruiting the right players that fit the club’s values, and we feel that we can keep developing this team and keep consistent within creating a winning culture.

“We have a hugely impressive and talented group of players and staff at the club, I am really looking forward to developing the playing squad and helping those players both on and off the pitch.

"We have a really honest and hard-working group who have made huge strides this season and I have a belief that we can progress those players who are on the bus and on the journey with us.

“It is important to be working with Liam and for him to be with me as we move forward. He is a very talented coach, a good person and someone I know well, trust and respect and he will be very valuable to myself and our players next season.

“The club is more stable and in a better condition at all levels than it was a year or so ago and I would like to thank the board for putting their trust in me to take the team forward, we will work very closely together as we strive to bring that success to our supporters.

“Lastly thanks to all of the volunteers for their continuous hard work which doesn’t goes unnoticed, during our work towards our end goal, it’s you who give us our motivation, you keep our feet firmly on the ground watching you all do what you do every day.

“Speaking on behalf of our staff and players I would like to you all to know that you have our deepest appreciation. Let’s get to work!”
