An open letter from Jack Lloyd our Director of Rugby

On behalf of the coaching staff and players for the 2020 season I would like to thank
everyone for the support given to myself, support staff and players this year.

In a very trying year with a lot of distractions like covid-19 etc, our playing group has
worked harder than ever off the field and to bring this club to where we are at present,
and a reward of that is having all seniors teams finishing in the top 3 and playing finals
in 2020.

In a shortened season we had a good home and away season and a massive boost for
Palmyra is the fact we have the best supporters who would travel to all home and away
games in a show of support. I can confirm that support does not go unnoticed and is
greatly appreciated by the whole playing group.

While there are too many people to thank personally I would like to give a special
mention to THE TRIBE (gym) for their assistance in pre-season and getting our players
into great condition. I would also like to thank all the players and staff who helped within
the AIRLAND ACADEMY,. This program ensures we continually produce great young
local players and assist with their transition into senior rugby.

Planning has already started for next season as we need to stay ahead of the
opposition both on and off field. We are very committed and driven to have four senior
men's teams and an u18 team competing for finals again in 2021. We will also be
re-designing our academy to include more players and the academy will cater for all of
Palmyra juniors in 2021.

So again, thank you to all our supporters and I hope to see everyone on Saturday in
support of our 3rds and 2nd grade teams as they strive for grand final victories. We then
plan to head back to the oasis to celebrate a great year and I would like to invite
everyone to come and celebrate one last time in 2020.
