The weather may suggest otherwise, but the cricket season is almost upon us. Man I have been looking forward to it for months, every day, whilst watching the rain falling out of my home office window...

....The smell of mown grass, hot sun on the back, a gentle breeze to mop the brow of the tireless bowler, warm summer evenings on the veranda, the polite cry's of howzat, the smell of tiger balm in the changing room, the usual nonsense, banter, camaraderie that makes the summer such fun.

To kick the season off and to get us match ready we will have an inter-club game, Captains XI vs Vice Captains XI. This will be the usual mixture of competitive rivalry, undoubtedly with a touch Fred Karno's Circus and hopefully some good cricket.

Afterwards, in the pavilion, there will be food, meat and veggie curry courtesy of Annette, bar and most importantly the presentation of 2023 awards!!

Players, partners, guests are all very welcome, for all parts of the day.
