For the first time this season, we lacked intensity from the off and were slow to react in defence. We were quickly punished and Diss found themselves under our sticks.

We dusted ourselves off and worked our way up the pitch, allowing us to eventually get the ball to Jackson on the right wing with some good handling to open the scoring. Louie rubbed salt in the wound with a great penalty from behind the 10m line. They scored again before half time to take us to 17-10 down at HT.

We had a talking to ourselves at HT and came out with better intensity into the 2nd half. A couple of quick tap penalties eventually saw Ethan crash over for his first. The 2nd half saw an exchange of tries with us keeping ourselves in it but always behind. Heze’s 2nd put us in the lead for the first time at 25-24 with 7 minutes to go.

We didn’t settle there, emptied the tanks and Ethan crashed over for his 2nd to put an end to proceedings.

At times during the match we played to our potential, but some periods in the match were marred by a lack of organisation and work rate. That said, we held on for the win and secured the points.

MOTM - Ethan Sikorski, led from the front and got a couple of meat pies.
DOTD - Louie Cooke, forgot his boots, shocker.
