Club secretary steps down after 15 years.

New Brighton Villa Football Club would like to thank club secretary Zoe Edwards for her long service to the club as she steps down after 15 years at the club following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season.

Zoe has been a constant at the Yellers for most of our recent existence and we thank her for her tireless efforts in helping navigate the club to the position it is in now in its 25th year as a football club. Football clubs at this level are only as good as the volunteers and people involved and we've been very fortunate to have someone like Zoe during her time at the club.

Zoe commented on her decision, "I have come to the difficult decision to step down as secretary of New Brighton Villa Football Club. This club has been a massive part of my life for the 15 years that I have been involved. I’ve seen the club at its lowest point and have seen it at its highest point and have been there throughout it all. I’ve travelled to the majority of football grounds within North East Wales and stood on the sideline come rain or shine. I’ve laughed with them and I’ve cried with them, sat in countless meetings and challenged many refereeing decisions throughout my time, some may say shouted at! I’ve also met some friends for life at this football club and for that I will be forever grateful. I have no doubt that this club will continue to go from strength to strength with Leigh, Liam and Pete at the helm. I would like to thank every single person who has supported me throughout the last 15 years at the club and I wish the club every success for the future. #UTFY"

Chairman Leigh Griffiths thanked Zoe for her service, "I'd just like to personally thank Zoe for all her hard work over the last 15 years. A lot goes on behind the scenes that not many people see in the running of a football club and all that hard work is very much appreciated! Zoe has been the heartbeat of NBV for so long and has taken on pretty much every role and responsibility within the club just to keep us running all these years and for that we are forever thankful. You will be missed by all at the club and I wish you all the best for the future and hopefully we will see you at the Estadio again soon!"

All at New Brighton Villa Football Club thank Zoe for the last 15 years and wish her all the best for the future. #UTFY
