History

Nairn Mini Rugby Club, also known as Nairn Thunderbolts, is for Primary 1 to 7 aged children in Nairn and surrounding areas.

The club It has been running in its current form since 2009, but legend has it that former players who are now well into their thirties will remember it from its original days.

We meet for training on Sunday mornings between 10.30am and 12 noon at Viewfield. P1-P3 aged children (Micros) play touch/tag rugby. Training for our Micros runs from 10.30am to 11.30am.

Our emphasis is on having fun playing rugby.

The Club is affiliated to the Scottish Rugby Union through its association with Nairn Academy. All Coaches have the relevant SRU coaching qualifications.
