After the win Vs Catholic Mickey joined us for a catch up

In an earlier interview you said Catholic will be a really competitive side, did they match up to your estimations?

"Yeah Catholic matched up to our expectations with their physical game. It was a game that I felt we should've taken more of our chances. They may also feel the same but it was a good tough game that you expect at this level. They have players of vast experience compared to other younger teams. We was always expecting a tough game but felt we was comfortable and soaked up the pressure when it came".

How would you compare your teams performance against Catholic from other games?

"For me the game against Catholic was not our best game, probably our worst of the season in footballing terms, but it was a game where we had to go there and get three points. I believe we knew what they were good at and we tried to nullify that so we done what we had to do. We went there scored goals, conceded a goal we shouldn't of but came away with the most important thing, the win and three points".

There was a couple of changes in selection for this game, what was the thinking behind that?

"Yeah couple of changes were made due to the way they set up, so we try to counter that. We always knew that we would have to soak up lots of pressure. They have a guy with a long throw, something that we would be defending from. It was important for us to be strong in lots of areas from throw-ins. We changed shape a little to maximise our chances of coming away with the three points, and we done that".

Will you be looking to rotate your squad again for the Rayleigh fixture, or is consistency something that you're considering?

"I've told the lads every game this season is a cup final. So we don't expect an easy game whether we face Rayliegh or any other team. I trust and believe in our squad completely. We will go again at training this week and look forward to Saturday. It won't be confirmed whether we are going to rotate the squad or just make minor changes. You'll have to come watch Saturday to find out".

May and Bakers next league fixture is this coming Saturday (7th) Vs Rayleigh Town. Barking Rugby Club
