Unbeaten in 3, Town making a fist of it near the bottom.

After a 6-0 thumping at Champs elect, Worcester City on Feb 3rd, the 2 week wet weather break proved to be good timing for Town.

Games resumed on Sat.17th with an away trip to Hereford Lads Club. The reverse fixture at Lydney back in August saw us lose 5-1 with only a Jordi Sheen penalty to show for it.

Things were very different this time, and in a very tight game Lydney won the match 1-0 with a goal from Lewis Thompson. The win ended a run of 3 defeats.

The following Saturday 24th, we faced Hereford Pegasus at home. We had nicked a 2-1 win at their place in August when Lucas Vaughan and Callum Dark found the net. Lucas also picking up a red card in the last minute.
This time we had to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw. Skipper Jordi Sheen and Callum Dark were the scorers.

This led us to our last fixture, a tough away game against top 3 side Fairford Town. They had already beaten us 2-1 at The Rec in January, Declan bagging a late consolation for us.

When we went 2-0 down after only 15 minutes things were not looking good at all. An own goal just before the break gave us a little hope for the second period, going in 2-1 down.

Once again it was skipper Jordi Sheen who levelled the score in the 78th minute. With the hosts on the back foot, new signing Lewis Pinchard (pictured), lobbed the keeper just two minutes later to give us the win with his first goal for the club.

We are still in a dog fight near the bottom, and Worcester Raiders away next is no easy task. But going unbeaten in the last 3 has at least given us some hope, and we should have a bit more confidence going into the final stretch.
