ABUSE OF MATCH OFFICIALS

No game can be played in Wales without a qualified referee.
If you want to play or watch, make sure the game has been Refereed by:
*SUPPORTING THE REFEREE AND TOUCH JUDGES
*AVOIDING UNHELPFUL COMMENTS
*BEING POSITIVE TOWARDS OFFICIALS

Your club support the Welsh Rugby Union's stance against the abuse of match officials.
Help them yourself by avoiding disciplinary action.
BE SUPPORTIVE, PLAY THE GAME

The Code of Conduct
Abuse of match officials is defined as:
Individual perception of personal degradation, be it mental or physical, before, during and after the match (but not limited to):
Verbal or physical assault
Intimidating conduct
Racial or sexual harrasment
It therefore follows the WRU will instigate proceedings against Individuals alleged to have:
Abused, threatened or intimidated a referee, touch judge or match official, whether on or off the field of play
OR
Used crude or abrasive language or gestures towards the referee, touch judge or match officials or spectators.
