After a break of 6 weeks due to bad weather Knaresborough enjoyed their day out at the seaside.

They started rusty but ended with their finest display this season. Borough forwards soon took control after going behind after just 5 minutes when Will Stevenson had a kick charged down to gift the home side an early try. From then on it was one way traffic. Knaresborough attacked through their forwards and Hornsea had no answer to boroughs off loading game. This led to a5m scrum and Hornsea was pushed back over their own line to give the visitors powerful No.8 Jamie Bird the first of his four tries. At the break Knaresborough led 10-5.
After the break Borough kept the pressure on which gave Bird a further 3 ties and a fantastic 50m weaving run from Knaresborough’s excellent stand off Tim Evens who touched down under the posts, converted by Stevenson.
Knaresborough have not lost since the fist week in September and this bonus point win will keep the pressure on the No.1 spot in the league.
