Tuesday evening saw Kirkley & Pakefield FC make the long mid-week journey to play Ely City in a bottom of the table clash. Harry Creamer returned to the visitors starting line-up for Keenan Hutchings in an otherwise unchange starting eleven. It was the home team who took the lead after 20 minutes when Tom Stoker volleyed in from 20 yards. On 58 minutes the ‘Royals’ captain Ben George was sent to the sin bin for a 10 minute spell to cool off. The score remained 1-0 until the 90th minute when after a free-kick Kieran Wing popped up to score his first senior goal for the ‘Royals’ and to level the scores, with the final result remaining 1-1 in a hard fought match.
