The Woodlands Avenue Project Pre 2022

The Woodlands Avenue Project Pre 2022

Woodlands Avenue was the home of Immingham Town until 1995 when the club withdrew from the Northern Counties East League and ceased to exist.
The ground fell derelict and a fire several years later raised the old clubhouse to the ground.
The dilapidation is plain to see with the site just an open field with a little hard standing and weeds several feet high around the area.
However local man and football enthusiast Johnny Walker had other ideas. He has seen an opportunity to give the town of Immingham its football club back and through social media started to gather interest in his project.
Several months of hard work in 2015 saw the site looking much better with large amounts of the vegetation removed and a football pitch uncovered.
5 of the floodlights still stand although they will obviously need a total re-wire at the least whilst one of the old goals is also still in place.
The plan is to create a club to be in action from a temporary home and to get a working committee in place to develop Woodlands Avenue.

Immingham Town Football Club has been re-born and we want to return home as soon as possible.

March 2016
Work has continued to remove vegetation from the hard standing areas where the clubhouse and changing areas used to stand. The club have some second hand portacabins awaiting transportation to the site which will need major work but are being donated.
Work is ongoing to source the utilities areas such as drainage to allow for a straight forward installation in due course.
