Role of Club Vice-President Filled!

Holmesdale 1956 FC welcomes Andy Pye as a new Vice-President of the club. Since his son Nik Pye took up the Media and Communications role, Andy has been seen around the club, supporting the team on the field. He has added a number of slightly left-field match reports to the club's communications portfolio.

In real life, Andy is a technical writer and editor in the engineering field, but has extensive experience in founding, growing and selling his own thriving publishing business, and in sports club management. He has chaired several senior cricket leagues across Kent and Surrey, as well as two cricket clubs in the Kent League structure. Over the past 25 years, he has been Managing Director of a junior cricket coaching business in Greenwich. Those skills have now been extended to cater for inactive adults (Walking Cricket) and for those living with Young Onset Dementia.

"It is a great honour to be asked to take on this role, which came as a pleasant surprise. The friendly atmosphere afforded to me and my family at Holmesdale 1956 FC has been really appreciated," said Andy. "Unusually, though I have no direct experience in football, my business and sports management expertise will bring a different perspective to building the club's future plans, and help to take it forward to the next level in its progresson."
