About HGFC

Our football Club is a very active and sprightly 102 years old this year and more involved with our Community then ever before. With a total of 18 teams, including Boys, Girls, Youth, Ladies and Adult male squads, ranging from 6 years old to ... well there is NO upper limit; we are the most inclusive Club in the region.

Off the pitch we boast a Coaching team of almost 50 qualified Coaches, we believe to be the largest in the region, ensuring all our Players receive quality instruction on the skills and tactics involved in modern play. (All our Coaches are also qualified to administer Emergency Aid in the case of injury or ill health and checked by the CRB authorities). We are one of the few Clubs that actively contributes to our local Schools, with us holding "fun sports sessions" with our First school just across the road, we are currently supporting the Junior school with setting up Girls football in Holmer Green Schools and establishing a sharing of resources and equipment scheme with our Senior School.

On the pitch, we are extremely fortunate to use the facilities here at the Holmer Green Sports Association, envied by most Clubs that visit us. Our teams participate in a number of local and regional Leagues ensuring all our Players are challenged to fulfil their full potential. We put a great deal of emphasis on the way we conduct ourselves, always respecting match officials, opponents and supporters, in fact we are the only Club to date to hold a workshop with the Berks & Bucks FA on the "Respect Campaign"

We are also fortunate to be well supported by Players and Parents alike, although you can never have too many of these dedicated folk. We rely on them to support financially our organisation, next season our outgoings will be approaching £50,000! as well as relying on many of them to Referee matches, run the line or man the kitchen on those cold and wet match days.

Looking forward we will continue to develop our links with the 3 Holmer Green schools, ensuring we remain the Club of choice for local families wishing to participate in organised football. Our working relations with the football authorities also continues to flourish with us hopefully playing host to their training / educational programmes in the coming months.
