Our exit from the Durham Senior Cup following the defeat at Stockton last Tuesday night and Rovers loss against Consett set up a derby showdown between the two sides in the semi final of the Intermediate Cup.

However, with Peterlee & Horden and Sunderland both withdrawing from the competition, the sides will now contest the final on Saturday.

The venue was decided by a flip of a coin observed by club officials on Sunday which was won by Rovers.

This will mark our first appearance in a County Cup Final for over 20 years when we won the Junior Cup across three consecutive seasons from 2000 to 2002.

It will also be our first ever appearance in the Durham Intermediate Cup Final.
