150 young players from 7 clubs competed in our 10s Festival on Sunday with Saracens Amateurs winning the Cup and Harrow Whites (we had 2 teams in - Blues and Whites) winning the Plate.

We were treated to some fast flowing rugby which is what this format delivers and the most successful teams adapted quickly and used the width to beat defences. With neither scrums or lineouts, it's a fast game and suited to the short 9 minute halves played to ensure teams gets maximum match experience against each other.
The Cup Final (ref'd by our very own Lawrence) was a superb game with Saracens only just beating an impressive Finchley side by 2 points.

In the Plate final the 2 Harrow teams met each other and you can imagine how the competitive effort was notched right up for that one.

18 matches were played and the feedback from visiting teams was excellent. "A big fat thank you from all of us at Finchley . It was a great tournament and we thoroughly enjoyed playing in it" and "Thank you from Datchworth our boys thoroughly enjoyed the day and well done to all the teams" were some of the comments received.

Next week our last 10s Festival sees the U14s take over the cub for the day. That will be a great one too!
