Guilsfield 2 Penrhyncoch 2

A resolute Penrhyncoch went home with an away point in yesterday's JD Cymru North match.
The Roosters began brightly before the league leaders got into their stride with Robbie James glanicng the bar with his header on 15 mins. Three minutes later Guilsfield took the lead when Jake Cook's header found Jamie Hyne and his shot was parried by keeper Jenkins and Iwan Matthews was on hand at the far post to find the net.
The second half saw Penrhyncoch equalise on 50 mins with Gittins allowed to head home. 8 minutes later Burrell gave the visitors the lead. This shocked the Guils into action and the final half an hour saw us pressurise the mass defence of the visitors.
Guilsfield were kept at bay with 4 great stops from Jenkins but he couldn't keep out the equaliser from Jamie Hyne on 76 mins, after Sam Litchfield's towering header came down off the bar and Jamie was first to react. The home fans thought the winner came in the 85th min but Jenkins pulled off another great stop from Iwan Lewis.
A frustrating afternoon for Guilsfield with the draw but this could be a shape of things to come at home , with the away clubs bringing a defensive game plan to stifle our attacking threat.

Team: Jones, Bromley, Richards, Harries, Ford, James, Cathrall, Cook, Matthews, Lewis, Hyne.
Subs: Jenkins (Cook), Parrish (Richards), Litchfield (Bromley), Clifton.
