Guildford Albion FC Player Contract 2017/2018

This document is designed to give all players a clear idea of the responsibilities and expectation to be made of and by them with regard to playing for Guildford Albion FC in the forthcoming season. It may pass that some of the stipulations mentioned here are not called on, but you should take this seriously, as many will be enforced. By signing your club registration form and league registration card and paying your annual fees you will be agreeing to this contract and will thus be considered eligible to play for Guildford Albion FC throughout the stated season.

By signing your club registration form and league registration card and paying your annual fees, you are agreeing to abide by the rules stipulated herein and understand that they will be monitored and enforced throughout the stipulated season.

If I have agreed to play on Sunday’s, I agree to pay the signing on fee of £40. I agree to pay the match fees of £6 per game played. I also agree that I will pay any disciplinary fines incurred by myself.

I understand that should I fall behind in my payments in regard to any of the above, I will forfeit my right to play until such time as a payment is received, or a payment schedule has been discussed and approved by the club treasurer (Jony Pool) and club manager (Elliot Machin). I understand that should my payments fall behind to more than the value of two match fees I will be deemed unavailable for team selection. I understand that should my payments be more than two months in arrears, I will be deemed to have resigned, and I will not be eligible to play for another team until all monies owed are paid.

I understand that by keeping up to date with my financial obligations, I earn the right to compete for a playing position in the club. It does not guarantee me any status within the club.

I understand that the Club Committee Members have the power to expel a member when, in their opinion, it would not be in the interests of the club for them to remain a member. An appeal against such decision may be made to the Club Committee.

Should a member of the board be forced to attend a disciplinary meeting, due to my actions, it is my responsibility to ensure they get there, not the other way round.

I understand that I am expected to be available for selection, as stated in my Club Registration form. Should I not be available to attend, for any reason, it is my duty to contact the coaching staff (with as much notice as possible), not the other way around.

I will not abuse referees or match day officials.

I understand that from time to time, it may be required that I will be expected to collect and bank match day subs.

I agree that from time to time it may be required that I contact the appointed referee / opposition prior to the match to arrange match details and for home matches direct the referee and opposition to the correct changing rooms and pitch.

I understand that, when asked, I will be expected to collect and wash the kit and bring it to the following game in good order. I understand that if I refuse to do so, I will forfeit my right to play.

I understand that unless I have purchased my own kit, I must not take any kit home with me, unless washing the whole kit.

I understand that I am expected to assist in taking kit or equipment between training and games.

I understand that it is my responsibility to take out any personal injury or accident insurance to cover myself to the level I wish. The club only has very basic Insurance.

I understand that each year an AGM will be held and that my attendance is expected. I will receive notice of this in writing.

I understand that an EGM may be called at any time by the Club Committee members and that my attendance is expected. I will receive notice of this in writing.

I understand that the Board Members' preferred method of contact is e-mail, and I will be unlikely to speak with them by telephone during working hours.

I agree to abide by all of the above conditions.
