You are all very much aware of how wet the weather has been for.....months! This, obviously, has had a near disastrous knock on effect to our very worried ground staff. They haven't been able to do any pre-season work on the square since the beginning of February, and the outfield hasn't been cut this year! Being volunteers, and mostly governed by being able to get time to work on it whenever they're not doing their own full time jobs, it's been weekends only during the late winter/early spring, and even if we've had dry weather, the ground has been literally saturated with water, making any work impossible.?

It's been so wet since last December that we haven't even been able to put the newly serviced wicket cutter BACK IN the garage!?

Therefore, we ask all of our members if they can spare a couple of hours on SUNDAY 14th APRIL to help out on our Natwest CricketForce Day....as long as we get a few dry days that enable us to get on the ground without sinking!?

Keep an eye out on the WhatsApp chats to confirm that we're okay to go ahead, but provisionally, we'll be looking to get down the ground for 9:00am and see how things pan out...??⛅
