Club History

Fintan FC rose from the ashes of a previous club in the summer of 2007. Originally only planned for two existing teams, Fintan FC has grown from strength-to-strength, and now bolsters six teams and a Youth Academy; and that number is ever growing, year by year.

Fintan FC was originally established by the current Chairman, Dean Carbin, alongside a small band of parents. One of which, accompanied by the backing of their business, supplied a guarantor sum to support the club on its new venture. As a result, the club gained its legal name of ‘Fintan FC’.

Since then, Fintan FC has developed both on and off the field, courtesy of exceptional leadership from the committee and managers, alongside commitment and determination from the club’s players on training and match days.

Serving the communities of Rowanfield, St Marks, Hesters Way, Springbank and Arle, Fintan FC welcomes players from all surrounding areas.

Although Fintan FC is one of the newer clubs in the Cheltenham Leagues, it is superbly run by its professional committee, and offers adults and children alike, the opportunity to be a part of a team and enjoy competitive football.

To accompany competitive football, Fintan FC is proud to boast about its excellent socials and fund-raising events, that has ranged from; TenPin Bowling, Fintan FunDay, Parents Vs Kids Match, Pub Triathlon, Comedy & Music Night, Annual Presentation Nights and many more!
