On Thursday night in, to be honest, terrible pitch conditions, Bailo Camara's team dismissed Bexhill United u23s to book a place at Lancing for the u23 Sussex County Cup Final. We will be meeting Isthmian League East Grinstead u23 there, in what is sure to be a pulsating match.
If you haven't been following them, United's Development Squad plays in the SCFL u23 East League, and as I write they are second in the League, with 2 games in hand, Quarter finalists in the u23 League Cup ( they will play Ferring u23 later this month for a place in the Semis) and now finalists in the County Cup. The only loss this season in fact was the first game of the season, to Newhaven. Since then, they have drawn once, and won every other match, averaging over 3 goals a match. Keep an eye on the socials for when you can see this very young, very exciting team play - many are already breaking through to the first team, but as they do, more fill in from behind, providing a conveyor belt to the first team.
