About the Bulls

The Dubbo Football Club Bulls are a Dubbo Football (Soccer) team who compete in the Dubbo & District Soccer Competition.

The Bulls were founded in 2005 and drew its main player base from the now defunct Macquarie Strikers FC.

In 2003 Macquarie strikers (who had a predominantly strong Junior base from SASS Strikers) and the Western Premier League contingent of East Dubbo United (Who were one of strongest senior clubs in the Western Premier League) merged their teams together in 2003 and rebranded the team East Dubbo Strikers. In 2004 a name change to Macquarie strikers saw the club field three teams in the Western Premier League competition, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade & Under 18's. After a lacklustre year and finishing bottom of the table a new direction was decided for the 2005 season and planning began to develop a club for our players to flourish.

To help with the assimilation of players and erase any pre existing rivalries, the committee decided to begin a new club, independant of existing senior teams. In a landslide vote, Dubbo FC was to be the name of the club, and the iconic Bull was quickly adopted as the club logo

At the helm of the first season, Inaugural 1st Grade Coach Ronny Hill, the Bulls thrived, introducing a tough love environment within the club. From last place to runners up was an achievement for the club and the allure of success remains ever present within the Bulls culture today.

2014 Marked the Bulls 10th year in existence and looking back at our humble beginnings of Coopers Tavern, The Bulls are now considered one of the most well know Sporting clubs within the region. the 10th Year proved to be quite a year for the Bulls; honouring the team of the decade at the 10 year anniversary ball and taking all 4 premierships on offer to give the club an extremely rare Quadruple of titles.

Sporting 3 senior mens teams, an All Age ladies team and a renewed affiliation with SASS Juniors, The Bulls pride themselves on a family friendly club with a strong culture for hard work, loyalty and mateship.

The Dubbo Bulls are easily identifiable in the iconic bright orange and white playing strips.

Since our beginnings the bulls have been an ever present force within the Regional Football community and we wish for our 2014 season to mark a decade of achievement the start of an even stronger future.
