Moorend Stingers & Hornets v Doncaster Town

Town welcomed back a lot of familiar faces in there league match against moorends.

It was moorends that took the early lead after a very sloppy start to the half from Town and after some poor communication the play was played back towards Towns goal with the moorends player reacting first and slotting the pass the town keeper Alex Mares.

This seem to switch town on a bit and after some dangerous attacks it was Nathan Sheppard that was rewarded with Towns first goal a clearance from moorends fell to the town midfielder with a controlled chest and hit on the volley straight over the top of the home keeper 1-1. Just what Town needed a 2nd car shortly after with Alex Aliin calmly striking a shot past the moorends keeper 2-1. Town still had a lot of life in the first half and captain Haydn Cahill was rewarded again with another goal 2 in 2 for the captain as his shot was put past the keeper after some good build up play. Alex Aliin also had time to double his tally with another powerful strike beating the keeper into the bottom corner. First half ended 4-1

A few changes at half time saw Lee McFadden introduced and wasn't long before he put his mark on the game putting away the ball into the moorends net. McFadden didn't leave it long to get his 2nd, an error with a pass in the moorends defence saw Lee calmly finish. 6-1 Town. Tiredness hit the home side and gave chance for Lee McFadden to hit his 3rd of the day but also Sam Tanner and Bogdan George both adding to the tally. The reintroduction of Alex Aliin helped finish the game with a further 3 goals being added to his tally taking him to 12 for the season. Ending the game with a cheeky little back heel to beat the keeper and end a goal scoring spree from Town.
