I had a feeling the game would be tight and I just tried to keep the lads pushing and pushing. Patience was the name of the game today, against a stubborn Biggleswade side. At times we tried to force things too much and lost good possession in doing so .
The winning goal was a real gem, a great ball from Scott Cross and an even better finish by Danny Edmunds, we stood firm after the goal and got three important points, which lifted us into a deserved sixth place in the table, with a game in hand over Biggleswade.
I had to make one or two decisions on players this week which has resulted in Mykel Beckley and Matt Gearing leaving the club. I have also targeted a couple of proven strikers and I hope that can I tempt one of them into signing for us in the next few days.
We have a very strong squad of players and the atmosphere around the club at present is positive. The players are showing an excellent attitude and commitment in training and on match days, which is going to make us a very difficult side to beat this season!
