** DARTFORD RUGBY - RESULTS ROUND-UP**

** DARTFORD RUGBY - RESULTS ROUND-UP**
Here is a round-up of results over the last 2 weeks across club sections!!
Dartford Roses 29-24 vs Heathfield & Waldron Ladies Rugby
===========================================
Outstanding NC1 league win for the Roses LIVE@THELODGE yesterday.
Coach Bex - We are so proud of the ladies for not giving up when we were behind at half time, reflecting on what needed to be put right, and coming back in the second half scoring 4 tries to secure a bonus point win, against a physical Heathfield team.
Dartford Valley Men 1st XV 5-27 vs Aylesford Bulls RFC
=========================================
DOR George - A physical encounter down at Ayelsford this weekend saw our first team come out second best. The forwards really stepped up and the set peice was dominant throughout the first half. Ayelsford moved the ball wide and kicked often putting the back 3 under immense pressure, resulting in conceeding 4 tries in the wider channels. 27-5 an unfair scoreline for our lads.
Dartford Valley Men 2nd XV vs Bromley RFC
=================================
Some questionable core values from the visiting side on Saturday - very disappointing.
Coach Chris - Tough day at the office for the 2s. One to put aside and concentrate on the next fixture - away to Old Alleynians 4s next week
Dartford Boys U15 Boys 14-52 vs Thurrock Rugby Football Club
===============================================
Coach Chris - Friday night saw the boys run out against the team from across the bridge in what was truly a game of two halves.
The first half finished 14-12 with Dartford controlling the game in all 3 phases, but the second half showed the opposition's greater fitness and depth of numbers. A lot of positives to build from, but the same number of work ons too.
Players of the match:
Jayden Stewart
Jake Willoughby
Dartford Boys U16 vs Saracens Kent PDG - Training game
===========================================
Coach Stix - Fantastic FNL training game between our U16 boys and the rest of the Sarries Kent PDG squad. The brilliant supporting #RedBlackArmy crowd (cow bells / chants & all!!) were treated to a brilliant try-fest of running rugby!! Well done lads. Onwards to 7's season, last remaining out-of-county friendlies and then the final Kent County League game of the season at Sevenoaks on March 17th to try and seal the county title and go back-to-back champions.
Beccs Valley Girls U16 69-5 vs Medway Rugby Club
==================================
U16’s Beccs Valley welcomed Medway RFC to the Lodge on Sunday, for their last Home league match of the season.
The girls ,yet again, did not disappoint in their dominant performance. Although missing a few players through injuries & playing with a smaller squad than usual , we secured another bonus point win to further cement our position at the top of the county table.
An honourable mention to Maisie Williams who played her last match at the lodge before moving to the other side of country. Good Luck Maisie, you will be missed!
Two more league games to go, two victories needed to be crowned Kent County League Champions, you have got this Girls!
Very proud coaching staff, parents and supporters!
Dartford Boys U13 vs Ashford Rugby Club
===============================
Coach Chris - More signs of improvement from the young squad as they battled against a very well drilled Ashford team boasting some good athletes.
The team managed to bring some of their work ons from training into the game, showing improvement in their defensive spacing and line speed, but it wasn't quite enough.
A shout-out must be given to Daniel, scoring a 70m try on his debut!
Dartford Boys U12 vs Tunbridge Wells RFC
===============================
The Dartford U12 boys welcomed TW's to The Lodge on Sunday. The game, won by the Wells boys was very good for both sides with lots of lessons learned
So .. on balance, our Roses Ladies and Girls U16 delivered in a big way for the club, while a number of other club sections faced tough opposition. The most important thing is that the structure, belief, core values and desire is there ... and thats why we are the club we are!!
Onwards & upwards!!
