The groups of boys and girls have been training with Churchtown coaches this summer and did the club proud of a fine showing against some of the top sides in the region.

The Ainsdale Under 9s tournament is an eight a side festival and Churchtown took a squad of 13 players and rotated the team throughout the day.

The side pushed Formby all the way in their opening games taking four wickets and scoring eight boundaries. A heavy defeat against festival winners Ormskirk followed before closely fought battle in The Plate against Tarleton and Liverpool CC.
