Chester's Over 40s completed their rigorous pre-season training schedule this week with a final net session after a busy winter preparing for the new campaign.

Captain Jude Chaminda will be welcoming Matthew Griffiths and Darren Leach into the squad for the upcoming West Division league campaign, and both make heir debuts next week. Griffiths will be first choice wicketkeeper in the league matches, whist in true Premier League Soccer style, Stephen Ogilby is expected to retain the gloves in the cup matches as CBH look to retain the Knockout Cup for a third consecutive year.

The Blazers will also compete in the Chester Midweek League in a new venture designed to ensure that all squad members have regular cricket and to bring through younger club members who will naturally segway into the Over 40s squad once eligible. The Ladies teams and Junior sides will also be representing the Blazers alongside some of the 'old hands', who will play their home matches on Thursdays.
