I’m pleased to report that we’ve finally heard from our competition sponsors Worthington’s and we can now confirm that the above match will take place at Glamorgan Wanderers RFC on Thursday 9th May (KO 19:15); please find attached a copy of our EDRU Competition Rules together with a team sheet to complete which should be handed in to the match officials prior to kick off (alternatively you can use your own club’s version if you so wish). As you can see, we’ve also attached a copy of an advertising poster that we’ve produced for you to display in your clubhouse (or anywhere else that you may consider appropriate – e.g. local shops, pubs, club website etc).
Please note that at this stage of all of our cup competitions you’re allowed to name up to eight replacements, but if you do go for the maximum then it must include a full front row; we can confirm that catering will be provided on the night for all of your match day squad plus their back-up teams (Team Manager, Coaches, Physio etc) and there will also be a catering outlet at the ground for supporters as well as the clubhouse for drinks etc. We would remind everyone to please respect the facilities of the host club and put any rubbish (including discarded tape, bandages, drinks bottles & containers etc) in the in the bins provided in the dressing rooms and/or around the area generally; your co-operation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Finally, could both sides bring along three or four match balls each clearly marked with your club’s name for use during the match and could you please let us have the names of your team (also indicating your captain) and the names of Team Manager, Coaches etc ASAP so they can be included in the match programme; when you do this please ensure that Lloyd and Noel are copied in as I’m away next week so they’ll be dealing with the arrangements.
